PicLits

www.piclits.com  This is a cool site and great way to have students get creative with poetry, complete sentences, keywords and more.  Users have a chance to matches images with carefully selected keywords or can write "freestyle".  Check it out with your students, and create your own PicLit!

    Thanks for the compliments. The site is growing and page views are in the 12K-15K range. Any and all feedback is welcomed. Spreading the word is even better. It is definitely a TOOL for language arts and ESL/ELL teachers. Lots of opportunities to improve all the skills associated with composition. If the school or district has SMART (white) boards, it is even better. Digital projectors are the next best and of course, the computer lab etc .... Our photos are coming from Flickr folks and we have a group of 10-12 wordsmiths who supply the word banks for the appropriate photo. Thanks again.
